How do I get involved?
(We are looking for a liaison from each area school
or business)
Host a movie day at your school showing the movie: Hotel Rwanda. You can visit: www.hotelrwanda.com (Movie is rated PG-13)
Sell bracelets from www.one.org or www.lefttotell.com (Information on these bracelets are on the websites)
RAISE AWARENESS OF THE DEVASTATING CONDITIONS IN MANY PARTS OF AFRICA: EDUCATE BUFFALO! (Schools can hold discussions on the conditions in Darfur, have students do research, etc.)
Elementary schools/Middle schools: You can create a “caring banner” with hand prints, hold dress down days, have a “Dine for Darfur” dinner to raise awareness, etc.
Raise funds for the International Rescue Committee (You can visit their website @ www.theirc.org) Each organization/school handles their own fundraising effort).

What can you do with us?:
* Check our website: Buffaloforafrica.org for continual updates and news. Each liaison please email Christina Sullivan so that everyone knows about the great things happening at your school/business to further the cause. Christina will post the information on the website!
* Join us at The Buffalo Marathon. We will hopefully have a HUGE turn out again to show our support of this cause. Our goal is to have each school or business have one relay team register for the marathon. To register: Visit the website @ www.buffalomarathon.com. Stayed tuned for more info!
* Spread the word!!!! Feel free to recruit businesses, artists, musicians, religious groups, politicians, etc. to get involved. Buffalo has many talented and compassionate individuals. The sky is the limit in this venture.
* Buy some Buffalo for Africa merchandise!
